TEAM ROSTER
• River Fest 2009’s Dragon Boat Race will take place at Howard Brown Park on the Norwich Harbor.
• Racing begins at 9:00 am on Saturday, June 6th. The team must be at the park no later than 8:30 am for team meeting with 22 Dragons officials.
• Team members must be at least 18 years of age and be able to swim 100 feet.
• A minimum of 21 people per team (20 paddlers, 1 drummer) and a maximum of 25 (20 paddlers, 1 drummer, 4 alternates).
• Each Co-Ed team MUST consist of at least eight women.
• Absolutely no consumption of alcohol beverages until after the final race.
• The Race Committee reserves the right to determine placement of teams in divisions.
• Only teams who have completed and submitted the registration form, team roster form and individual participant waivers, along with the entry fee will be allowed to participate.
• Team Roster must be submitted to the Chamber office no later than May 22nd with Waiver of Liability for each team member (this will eliminate the long registration lines the morning of the event).

WAIVER OF LIABILITY
*Must be returned to Chamber office by May 22nd*
Must be completed by each team member
The undersigned participant hereby acknowledges that Dragon Boat racing is an inherently dangerous activity that requires physical exertion and certain skills, including but not limited to the ability to tread water for ten minutes while fully clothed. The undersigned represents that he/she has consulted with his/her physician and knows of no reason why he/she is not able to participate in Dragon Boat racing. Further, the undersigned has read the conditions of this waiver and is aware of the risks of Dragon Boat racing and accepts such risks and hereby waives and releases any and all the rights and claims for damages or losses that they may have against the Greater Norwich Area Chamber of Commerce, Inc., any of the Festival Sponsors or any of the officers, directors, agents, volunteers or employees of any of the foregoing, arising in any manor from participation in River Fest 2009.
In consideration of the Greater Norwich Area Chamber of Commerce, Inc.’s acceptance of the undersigned’s participation in the Dragon Boat Race, and other good and valuable consideration, the receipt of which is hereby acknowledged, the undersigned, for himself/herself, his/her executors, administrators, heirs, legal representatives, successors, assigns or others claiming through the undersigned, hereby covenant with the said Greater Norwich Area Chamber of Commerce, Inc. to never institute any suit or action of law or in equity against said Chamber, any of the Festival Sponsors or any of the officers, directors, agents, volunteers or employees of any of the foregoing by reason of any claim now possessed or hereafter acquired relating to any and all activities concerned with the Dragon Boat Festival.
The undersigned hereby certifies that all registration information supplied by the undersigned to the said Greater Norwich Area Chamber of Commerce is true and correct.
