Our Monday Feb 1st meeting was brought to order at 7:08 am. On this brisk yet beautiful morning Mike Jewell welcomed our Rotarians and visitors with his version of you could have heard a pin drop. As always Mike dazzled the crowd, and left us laughing as we started our Monday morning.

Our visitors on this fine morning included Steve Sawyer, a friend of George Mattern and Sue Camp. Steve is opening a vineyard in Preston, and anticipates it being ready in a year and a half. Rotarian Bev Goulet eager to help support Steve's new venture was wondering if he had brought any wine with him for breakfast.

We were elated this morning to welcome back Bill Brayman to Rotary. Bill and his wife recently had a baby, and he was armed with pics, and a few humorous stories on his triumphant return. One of the first things Bill said to me, was ok I am back where can I help. That is the Service Above Self lifestyle that makes being in Rotary with all of you awesome.

Peter Maneri led us in Happy Dollars today as both Peter and Chris counted down the days until the Yankees defend their World Series crown.

Our Guest Speaker this morning was Tim Murphy from Perkins & Murphy College Admission Consultants. Tim spoke about the College admission process, and answered many different questions concerning the maze of College admissions.

If you are attending the Friday Feb 5th Event at the Donald Oat Theater in downtown Norwich Please RSVP back to me so we can make sure we have enough seats. This is a B.Y.O.B event, and many people bring snacks and desserts.

I am including a list of upcoming events, and thier dates for your convenience. If you have any questions or concerns please feel free to contact me.

Remember Rose sale information is do next Monday Feb 8th. I want to thank Jan Mallett for all of her work in getting this going, as we should be able to cover our commitment for the Eradication of Polio with this event. Great Job Jan.
