Board of Directors Meeting held at 5:00 p.m. on February 4, 2008 at Dillan’s Restaurant
Attendance: Mary Reed, Cathy Chartier, Lee McLallen, George Mattern, Adam Arpin, Michael Jewell, Greg Arnold, Jonathan Woyasz, Marianne Nardone
Adam reported that the club will be ordering twenty copies of the book titled, “The Four Way Test”. The books will be donated to local schools. Adam would like to have volunteers from our club visit the schools and read the book to a group of students. He still needs more volunteers. Anyone interested can contact Adam. Marianne Nardone offered to review the book and make a recommendation as to which age group the book is geared towards.
Jonathan reported that the club currently has 43 members and that the attendance record of the club is in accordance with Rotary International standards. He will also check on the club’s donations to the Rotary Foundation.
Fund Raising:
Adam reported on the motorcycle raffle. He will meet with Greg Arnold and Mike Jewell to discuss the tickets, etc. The plan is to sell 400 tickets at $100.00 per ticket. The drawing is to take place on the same day as the golf tournament.
Mary reported on the wine tasting. It will be held at the Converse Art Gallery at Slater Museum. The date has yet to be announced but they are planning for the first week of April. She has been in contact with Betsy from Towne Liquor.
Service Projects:
There are no projects currently scheduled. There is a river clean up project that is tentatively scheduled to take place in the spring.
Greg Arnold reported that the web site has been very successful. Everyone agreed that it has been a useful tool for keeping up with club events.
