Norwich Sunrise Rotary - Newsletter - Archive (Jan 19, 2009)

Norwich Sunrise Rotary held its weekly meeting at the Courtyard Marriott. Fellowship was handled by Jim Troeger. He gave us an overview and history of inaugurations since the birth of this nation complete with quiz. This was followed by some BAD blond jokes. Got to get Jim better material. Jim continued with "Happy Dollars". The few people present were pleased by the recent snowfall(which seemed to keep most Rotarians at home today). This was followed by Mike Jewell's introduction of Allen Bergren Norwich City Manager and our guest speaker. He gave a brief overview of the job and its requirements as well as a personal history of how he got to his current position.

The lottery ticket was won by Mark Graves (it was a dud). Our speaker next week will be Anthony G Alessi, MD. Should be a great program. Hope to see you there!
